Leila looked at Edward, and stared at him. She shut her eyes tight for a brief moment and opened them back up again. "Edward..." She said. Leila sighed, not knowing how to put the words together. She knocked her knees together, putting her feet apart. She kicked off her flats. She sighed. She didn't know how to do this, she was always an independent person, but had never left her life behind her before. "Edward, I'll be back. Maybe." She said, and looked down at her feet. Her bare feet, painted purple. "Edward, you don't get it, do you? The Volturi and I... You guys wouldn't know me if it weren't for the Volturi. I would be dead, and your lives would be different. Do you have any idea how much they care for me? How much they've done for me?" Leila asked, staring at him. She turned her head in a no motion. "No, Edward. You have no idea what they've done for me."
Leila looked around at all the shocked faces. "I know you probably all hate me. I don't blame you. If you never want me back, then I'll except that and move on." Leila said. "This just isn't for me right now, okay?" She looked at them all. Her family stood before her. And she was letting them down. But in the end she'd come through. She knew she would. But none of them did; it take a while, until the end of the war. But that was okay. The battle may be long, or it may not. But it'd be the fight of her life.
"You joining the volturi helps us?! How is that exactly?" Edward asked, outraged reading her mind. Leila store at him again. "You invade EVERYONE's personal life, dear." Leila yelled at Edward. "And you don't get it, Edward. You don't get anything, do you?" She asked, almost crying. But she couldn't cry, but she longed to.

Alice was suddenly behind Leila. She placed her hand on her shoulder, and looked her in the eye. "I understand your position, I truely do, but you don't have to do this," she said. Leila was an important member of thier family. Everyone was. She didn't want to lose anyone to war. But they had to fight. The Volturi would attack first. Freya had already tried, but it was a failed attempt. "But if you do join them, then you know we will be considered your enemies. Even thought we don't want, we'll have to fight."
(ooc: Holy crow I'm never this... serious? xD)

Jasper remained quiet, watching everyone. He didn't approve of what was going on but he didn't feel that he could change anything.

"No, I think its you whom doesn't get it.... " Edward sighed as he calmed down, he wasn't sure if it was Jasper or himself, But it might've been both. He just turned around and walked away. He thought this not more of 'Do you know how much they care for me? He thught it more of detraying. They would soon enough have to attack Leila, and she would have to attack them.

Ashberry appeared right in front of her sister. She leaned in close as she spoke, any closer and she could have bitten off the tip of Leila's nose. "Listen here, Leila," she let out slowly. "We are talking about war. We are talking about the now, not what your little friends at the Volturi have done for you. In war, people die. Like brothers and sisters and mothers and fathers. I'd rather finally leave this world fighting with the people I love, not against them. I'm even disappointed in some of my Nomadic friends." Her jaw was set rigidly. "If you seriously want to leave us to fend for ourselves, just remember you are leaving your family behind. Your own freaking blood."

Leila looked at Ashb, and she said fiercely, "Ashberry, I don't need my little sister's help anymore. Maybe I have always been the immature one of the two of us. Maybe you have helped me make the right choices." Leila said, keeping her teeth together. It was the hardest thing she would ever have to say. "But I'm not a child. I've been living for over six centuries. This is war. I understand that. That's why I'm mature enough to make this choice." She said, through her teeth. Why did letting go hurt so much?
"Oh, and Ashberry. I do not have to leave all of you behind. If you choose, you can stand beside me and the Volturi and the Nomads. It's not my fault this war happened. We all know we didn't have to ask for this. I knew that I didn't. And this is the decision of my life. Maybe I'm killing myself, but maybe I'm saving myself. Maybe I'm saving you, but maybe I'm saving the Volturi. Without them, vampires would break all the rules. Vampires would rule the world, once again. And we wouldn't be special, because everyone would be one. Without the Volturi, our lives would fall down." Leila said. "Just keep these things in mind. And Edward, it may be all of us who don't get it, and maybe we never will."

"You know how I feel about those guys," Ash mumbled.
Ryan silently entered the Parlor with his head down. His eyes looked stern and icy. "Ash's right, Leila. Actually, you should all listen to what she's saying." He sat on a very bouncy couch. "I fought in war. My father was killed in war. My family thought I was dead because of the war. I lost everything because of human's stupid hatred for each other." Ryan got up from the couch again. He couldn't sit down at a time like this. "I thought it was going to be different this time, in my new life." He finally lifted his head and looked at his so called "family." The war was obviously going to tear everyone here apart. But, wherever I go, it'll still be going on, he thought. It's like World War II all over again. It's like... He finished his thought out loud. "It's like a secret World War Three."

Jasper hated to admit that Ryan was right. "Can't disagree with that.." he said quietly. "but are you positive your mind is made up, Leila?" he questioned.

"I know how you feel about them, Ashb. But it takes more than a life time to realize what people have done for you. I've enjoyed my time as a vampire much more than anything else. They gave that to me. Sure, I enjoyed it with you, but... I don't know. Doesn't feel right. Sorry." Leila said. "My decision is final, and nothing will make me change it."
"And as for Ryan, do you think I can ever take what you say seriously, since we've hated each other so deeply? No. I can't. I know you've fought in war. You're like Jasper. We didn't need this, Ryan. What idiot thought of the idea to ask them not to drink human blood? We're vampires. We can do whatever. WHO. CARES. WHO'S STUPID IDEA WAS THIS? Not mine, and now you're all objecting over my stupid idea? Hypocrites, much?"

Ash just looked at Leila for about thirty seconds. Then she rushed upstairs. Ash grabbed a vase with flowers in it and shook it in her hands. She finally threw it over the banister and it almost broke over Jasper's head. Luckily, Ryan was paying attention and portal'd it into his hands, where he set it down on the table near a bouncy couch. The door to Alice's room slammed. The room was quiet.

~~~LACEY~~~
Hypocrites?!? HYPOCRITES?!? Lacey screamed in her head, then a jumble of incoherent words swam in after it, she probably thought in pig latin for a little until English words came into mind.
"It was NOT a stupid idea. Unlike the Volturi and Nomads we don't intend to take innocent lives for the sake of our thirst. Those poor people who spent their last minutes of life screaming as they watched people die around them had lives, dreams; they had family and their job. They had their future slashed to pieces because of the non-vegans. And what if they did manage to escape a nomad? They would just be afflicted by the same ailment that most of us detest to the highest level. And--" Lacey closed her eyes as she talked about the human's lives; she opened them at the end when she felt some grab her arm. She yanked her arm away immediantly, not in the mood to put up with anything.
~~~RAELENE~~~
Raelene was no longer bouncing, which was odd because she loved the bouncy couches in the parlor, and instead grabbed a hold of Lacey's hand. She was going... just too far. Lacey was a little too passionate for certain topics sometimes, especially when it came to the death of humans.
Stop. Raelene wrote, looking at Lacey.
~~~LACEY~~~
"I'll stop once I say one last thing," Lacey replied through gritted teeth, her eyes cold and black. As she shifted her gaze back to Leila she started to sound more rational, more Lacey-like. "If you want to become one of those murderers, then fine I doubt any of us will stop you from going to Volterra. Who are we to mess with free will? We will fight, and we're going to pulvarize anyone who stands in our way. Since you picked the other side... leave. Leave if you aren't going to help us, turn the knife in our backs and just go." Lacey's voice became sharp and cold, matching her eyes, though it wavered at the 'leave' part. It would hurt less if she left already, left everyone to just comprehend what they heard. They wouldn't get anywhere with an enemy in their presence; they wouldn't be able to plan anything.
~~~RAELENE~~~
Raelene just... she just couldn't believe what Lacey said. "Since you picked the other side... leave. Leave if you aren't going to help us, turn the knife in our backs and just go." Rae replayed that part over and over to let it sink in. She never... never thought that Lacey could turn on people like that. She assumed that yeah, this was a time harsh words were needed. But that went too far, much, much to far.

Jasper couldn't decide what side he was on. He understood why Leila was doing this, although he didn't want her to leave. It took him surprisingly long to realize that the vase had almost broke on his head. He was deep in thought. He looked at Ryan in shock that he acted so quickly and then returned to his thoughts.

"Lacey, no reason to be mad. We all knew this would happen someday. Something would break the covens apart. You saw it coming, and I'm surprised Alice didn't see it; maybe I'm traveling with a wolf or a hybrid when I go to Volterra. I don't know. Point is; you're not mad at me, or my decision, you're mad that I'm leaving you guys." Leila said. She wasn't scared anymore, because she knew what was happening. "Sure, I think drinking human blood is wrong. But we were made to drink human blood, not animal. I don't think we should stop people from doing what they've been doing for so long; 6,000 years. Once they adjusted, one of those crazy nomads would break and drink human blood, destroying the world's longest kept secret: Us. So try and stop me. But you're not going to." Leila said.
"And I will never drink human blood. Never. Not one day in my life, even if my life may not continue on for much longer," Leila said. She quietly walked out of the room, and headed to the guest room, which Leila rather called her room, since it kept all the things she needed and was decorated to her liking. She picked up all the things she needed, and conviently fit them into her bag, as she had learned to. Her laptop, 6 pairs of clothes (she would buy some in Volterra; she also had to make sure her clothing fit the Volturi's strict dress code), her iPhone, her iPod, lots of money, her wallet, and some novels. She hung a guitar across her back.
Before she said goodbye, she took out her phone. She got to her sister, Ashberry's, number and quickly texted:
ashb. before i jack a plane and go to volterra, i need to talk to you. somewhere where they can't hear or see. you're the only one i can trust. respond and delete this when you get it. oh&we'll have to bring clearwater. alice can't see us. <3 leila.
She made sure she wasn't thinking of the text at all, and went downstairs. She waved her hand. "Goodbye," she said plainly. She hopped out of the house, got in her NASCARR, and quickly made her way to the treaty line. Leila texted Sam; sam! i need you to come to the border line. now. we all have a choice to make, but i can tell you one thing; leah is coming with me. <3 leila.

Freya snuk into their house again, trying to attack. She laughed. "Whats with the drama? Your never going to change her mind." she said as looked over at Leila. "she has made the perfect descision without your help! She'd rather join the soon to be victory of the volturi, rather then die with the cullens. If anyone is willing to join her, then your smart. If you don't-" she sighed as she nodded her head, "Your not." she sighed again as she started to head for the door but turned around and looked right at Leila. "Coming?" she asked.

~~LACEY F. CULLEN~~~
Lacey always yelled when she was sad, or mad. It was her way of covering it up, she found it easier to scream and throw a fit instead of tearlessly sobbing. You're not mad at me, or my decision, you're mad that I'm leaving you guys. Yeah, that was pretty true. "Bye." Lacey said, still sounding cold. Leila was already gone when she said it.
~~~RAELENE C. STEEL~~~
Raelene froze up, she got the wind knocked out of her because she felt a Volturi come into the room. Normally, she wouldn't have the feeling of fear but since she was not watching it just came to her as a surprise. Bye bye, Lei--- she couldn't finish the though before she went into shut down mode. Then, her subconcious found out it was Freya and snapped Raelene out of her vegetative trance. She sort of loved that state, because anyone who read her mind went into a coma like her. Oh, it's just you. No threat then... Raelene wrote in the air, it was a little fuzzy because of her trance still taking a little bit of an effect. It felt like anesthesia. We respect her leaving, we really do. We don't wish to change her choice. It's what she wants, or atleast what she thinks is for the greater good. I would like to stay with my family though. And we are smart. If you hadn't noticed, she left you here and drove off in her NASCAR. she rolled her eyes, stupid Volturi. Raelene could feel her brain rotting when Freya was here, even through the numbness.
