Name: Rukia Annabelle Thorne
Race: Veggie Vampire
Age: Appears to be 17
Real Age: 204, born on June 6, 1806 aka the devil's code
Power: She can bring inanimate objects, like a kettle or a flat screen TV, or dead things to life or kill anything living with a touch, includes immortals also. Rukia also has the Grim Reaper's eye, she can see black rings people's neck. If it steadily turns black then the Grim Reaper comes to harvest their souls. If the ring is black, like completely pitch black, and the person hadn't died yet in a certain amount of time then she knows they're vampires. Werewolves have silver rings. Humans have different shades, usually a white that's rarely noticeable but sometimes they go to a grey... meaning they'll die soon.
Looks: Blonde hair, ignore the attachment. Her face claim is Freida Rose.
Her style of clothing is sort of plain, usually a tee-shirt with jeans. Sometimes she'll wear amazingly beautiful dresses, sometimes she'll wear her raggedy old shirts that she owned for years. It changes a lot.
Personality: Rukia is a nice girl and gets good grades. She's quirky, unsure of herself, and doubtful of her strength. She likes to be alone, afraid of big crowds, and normally will not show up at parties or gatherings. The only reason she went to Forks was because she thought it would be easier to salvage what was left of her humanity with people who had the same affliction as herself.
She's highly defensive about personal issues, she won't willingly tell you her past, and she rarely wants anyone to be involved with her and her problems. She never vents to anyone because she doesn't want them to feel sympathy for her or think that they should try and help her. She thinks she's doing a good thing for them, so all of her distant acting is all because she really cares. Rukia loves to travel, she hates bugs, and once you become a friend... she'll open up a little more.
History: Rukia was born on Juno 6, 1806. She was born to Marissa and Alexander Thorne, a poor family. Rukia's father went out of the states on business and sent back money whenever he could, her mother worked at a farm. Rukia never went to school until the age of 17. She was very... naive about the world when she was little. Rukia loved to play dress up and dance around the small house she lived in. She was so happy when she was little, she loved her birthdays until she was old enough to comprehend what was going on. She remembered hearing on the news on a radio, saying that a weird phenomenon was occurring every year on her birthday. She could now understand that SHE was being blamed by the people in the province. She could hear them sneer her name, "That Rukia... She's nothing good... I doubt she'd even make it through school with her idiocy."
So Rukia packed three suitcases with her belongings and ran away in the middle of the night. She was nervous and burning. It was soo hot that time of year. She could remember all of the thoughts that raced through her head. Where am I supposed to go?! I don't have any family except ma and pa... What'll I say to the person at the cashier when I buy my ticket? "Hello, can you give me a ticket to WONDERLAND?!?" I'm such a dunce, maybe they really were right that I wouldn't last in the real world. Will I have to go back to my folks? Oh man, I probably gave my mom a heart attack. She'd never forgive me.
Rukia gathered what was left of her pride and went to the register. She told the woman to get her a ticket anywhere. So she gave her a ticket to New York. It was fairly far to where she lived. Rukia arrived in NYC safely.
One day she was walking to her 'home' when she saw a man with a knife in his hand follow a more formal man who looked like he was in the financial business down an alleyway. Being Rukia, she went down after them and followed. Then she saw the more mysterious guy try to mug the other guy. Rukia jacked a bike and rammed the mugger. To repay Rukia the man she saved gave her a chance at going to the High School he was principal of. She studied hard and was quite the scholar. She learned to read and write.
Near her birthday she was given the assignment of writing a descriptive story. Rukia wanted to make her story realistic, so she went out of the city and took a rode trip. She walked into the woods to observe the scenery. Rukia's bad luck had caught up with her. Her last birthday she hadn't had a disaster happen so know it was payback time. A vampire lurked around the corners of the forest.
"Who's there?!" Rukia screamed. "I said who's---" it was too late to finish the last sentence. Rukia was bitten and dragged off into the dark. It was obvious Rukia got away, or else she would be dead by now, but it the answer to how she got away wasn't so apparent. Rukia's theory was that she used some self defense moves her dad taught her, but then she wasn't so sure that she was that strong. Maybe she had pepper spray, but then again she didn't think she would carry that around on a day to day basis.
The next days when she transformed were a blank for her, she only remembers pain.
When she awoke she was seeing all of these rings around people's necks, she thought she bumped her head or went off the deep end bonkerz. Then when she touched a tree it would die, when she tried to pick up a flower it would turn black. She could pick up a rock easily though. Except one time an eraser came to life and bit her. She assumed this was all a dream or an illusion and that maybe if she could find someone then they could help her. She would find someone with a black ring, a black ring around their neck exactly like the one she had. She set off for the north.
Rukia started to test her abilities. She found out she could lift boulders with one hand, run at superhuman speed, and stay underwater for hours. She went to Forks, Washington immediantly. It was always cloudy and cold and rainy there so she assumed vampires would stay there also because of the constant coverage of the sun.
