YOUR HAIR LOOKS LIKE A HAYSTACK
--- but i like it ---
(ITS ALL ABOUT YOU !)
hey there ! my name would be lacey-chan and i am eleven years young. i've been pacing these streets for around one or so years now. you might have seen me running around in the form of a bunch of different characters, and i guess that makes me pretty awesome. wanna see what i can do? sure !
Gun shots sounded throughout the field, and Echo was longing to leave. Why did she join? Why couldn't she just stay out of her family's buisness? Why did she have to get herself in this mess? Echo missed the so called "dreary" days of life, sewing clothes and cooking. She hated how the blood drenched her now-somewhat-long hair, how it made it stick to her face. She hated the feel of dirt against her skin along with the freezing temperature. But yet, she loved the fit of her gun against her shoulder and her finger caressing the trigger. There was this sense of freedom when she sent a bullet flying through the air. Echo couldn't decide her opinion on the fight, but she was a Patriot and she wasn't going to be defeated by some redcoat, lobsterback, coniving Loyalists.
As she was debating on what she really thought of it, Echo felt a pair of eyes gazing at her. A gaze was boring into her back, making her jerk the way she assumed the starer was. It was Shark, her older bro by what? One year? He held it on her like she was five years younger and still "immature". Echo never cared for this, she really didn't. All she had to do was outsmart him with a witty comeback or just flat out ignore him.
Anyway, he was annoying the crap out of her. Shark had that stupid look on his face, while Echo just glared back roughly. That look... His expression just shifted as if he was going to shout out "EUREKA!". He must've found out something, something important because his face became stern as he opened his mouth to yell something.
Before Shark was able to yell out to Echo, a bullet struck Shark in the chest directly above the heart. Every single sound around her was muted as she listened to that one, fatal boom.
"SHARK!" Echo yelled as she rushed over to her fallen sibling, kneeling down by the dead body. He was still breathing, it was shallow but still breathing.
"Echo... When I'm gone... Don't do anything as retarded as this..." Shark muttered as his body went limp. Those were his final words...
He had left her there, weeping like a little girl who got a boo boo. But this was not just your average boo boo, it cut much deeper into Echo than any that she had ever had.

LOOK AFTER MY HEART

(THE BASICS!)
full name: Echo Odyssey Stryker
nicknames: can't think of anything right now
age: nineteen appearance // 198 years old for realz
gender: gal
species: vampire
DAUGHTER OF THE CHEIFS FLIGHTY EX WIFE
--- come home at last ---
(THE BACKGROUND!)
mother: Jane Isabelle Stryker, always lied about it but obviously over twenty five, housewife, annoying
father: Greyson James Stryker, atleast thirty three, worked for... ummmm... a mechanic, not half bad
siblings: Shark Greene Stryker, twenty, annoying but lovable as a bro.
other: Mindy Annie Jacobs, thirty one, - don't know profession - , best aunt ever.
best memory: She doesn't have a whole lot of good memories. She can't remember them that well but I know what she doesn't. Echo's best memory is when she was able to live with her aunt.
worst memory: getting shot in the arm with a gun.
overall history: Echo wasn't a lively person growing up, she rarely socialized and barely made any friends. She kept to herself, stayed with Sharky, and focused on helping her family. She normally just cooked and helped her mother until her father and brother were called to war during the American Revolution. She became worried about them. So she cut her hair and disguised herself as a dude to fight. Her facade was well planned, soo good that it actually worked. She just said that her voice was high for some odd birth defect that made her sound squeakier.
She found life difficult, she missed the safety of her home. She would've rather been knitting or doing something other than being in the cold, her short hair sticking to her face due to the bloodbath and gore of the battlefield. She wasn't that strong, but that wasn't a problem. She just fired the cannons and the guns, not really facing the fight head on.
Everything was fine until that one day. Her brother was killed with a bullet to the heart when he was distracted, gazing at Echo when the thought struck him that that soldier was his little sister. Her father remained alive to grieve the death of his son, and he died of old age. Echo's secret was discovered when after three major injuries, but she was rewarded for her bravery. It didn't help ease the searing pain, the pain that only the loss of a loved one could bring.
So she came home a hero, a broken hearted hero. Her mother was very disappointed that she had run off, but was also for once proud and had stopped nagging her. Echo always shot a fake smile at her, shrugged off the fact that her mom now had bragging rights and would be bragging her buttocks off to her neighbors about how amazing her daughter was and such.
Here's where the good part comes in. It's good for you, but extremely bad for yours truly. Obviously, in war people die. And in order for people die something has to kill it. Back then it was either people killed people, animals killed people, or disease killed people. Turns out that Echo had killed a Lobsterback whose brother was a vampire. And sadly, that vampire was thirsty for revenge. That vampire, his soul cried out in pain when he heard the news. His pain turned into sorrow, and that sorrow turned to sheer hatred. He wanted not only to cause Echo pain, but to make it last. He longed for the sweet mercy of death, pleaded for it to take him away from this immortal nightmare he called life. Death was not enough, it would never be enough to sooth the wounds that ran deep in his soul. He decided to give her the suffering that he was living. He decided to make her... immortal.
So I assume that you're thinking that after the transformation that was it, right? WRONG. Echo's live is NOT a story that just has an ending right there. So eventually, she woke up and noticed herself. She noticed how smooth and hard her skin felt when she ran a finger over it lightly. She noticed how oddly she sparkled in the sun. She noticed the dry, aching sensation in the back of her throat. It was like her throat was burning. She needed something to douse it quickly. She inhaled deeply and smelt her mother's blood, heard the pounding of her heart and felt the warmth radiate from her body. She was still in her room, seeing as the vampire had attacked in the dead of night and on a week where her parents were supposed to be away. She crept down the stairs, and snapped her mother's neck brutally and started to drink. She quenched her thirst, but started to feel empty on the inside. She had just killed her mother, and she was but a life-less, blood-drained body that layed on the cold floor. She vowed to never drink human blood again.
The decades creeped past her slowly, yet all a blur when she thinks of it now. She never really did anything those years. She settled around the area of Washington after twenty years, roamed them in hopes of people. Vampires flooded in through the years, and Echo started to think that maybe, just maybe, being a vampire wouldn't be that bad.

biggest secret: what do you think her biggest secret is? huh?
overall personality:
Echo is very calm. She always wants to say something else that what she does, something much more rude, but never has the guts to say anything and speak up. She hates public speaking and the limelight. At first she's shy, but after she gets slightly more hyper. Anyway, it's extremely hard for her, to stand her ground and not get pushed over. She always was a push over and she's probably going to stay that way.
She loves shadows and dark corners. Corners are where she crawls when something bad has happened, will happen, or she just has a feeling that it might happen in the future. It's a gut instinct to her. It's like she can sense it soo clearly when she doesn't exactly have any insurance on her knowledge.
Echo is a smart cookie. She hates being paired up with idiots in school. She absoluetly and utterly detests it. She, however, enjoys making them do the grunt work on the projects like construction. Of course, she has to supervise them. After all they are only mortals, nothing more and nothing less to Echo. She doesn't care for them at all, but would feel guilty consuming one for a meer snack. She has flashbacks of her change when she bites into a human, so she doesn't perfer them despite the delicious taste.
Even though she's extremely smart, probably Einstien reincarnated, she is not tough. She is quite weak as far as vampire standards go. Other species would still call her strong even if she didn't think she was. She's more of a stealthy girl. Rouge has the element of surprise on her side. She's like a fly on a wall, sitting there and watching your every move.
Echo likes people's company, she really does. She likes crowds. When she's alone, she feels empty. She feels as if all of the good in her thoughts have been washed away in a flood and have been replaced by rubble. All of the bad things float into her mind, and she doesn't like that.
I HOPE YOU WERE MORE CREATIVE THIS TIME
