Paul had a nightmare that night, but he just couldn't remember what it was.. He woke up abruptly around eight A.M. That was much too early for Paul, seeing as he had just taken a double shift the day before, but he couldn't go back to bed after he had woken up. That was always a problem with him, but he was determined to get some more shut eye.
It wasn't working. So as he laid on his side and stared at nothing in particular, he tried to remember his dream. He never dreamed a whole lot. Actually, everybody dreamed it was just that some people don't remember. But that wasn't the point. All that Paul remembered about his dream was a bunch of colors swirling around and that was about it. This perplexed him. Maybe he didn't have a bad dream, maybe it just scared him that he couldn't remember. No, Paul was never scared of anything. Or atleast at first glance you would never assume him to be scared of anything.
Eventually he fumbled out of bed sleepily and got dressed slowly as he thought about what he would do that day. Would he go to Port Angeles? Paul could probably catch a movie. He needed to catch up on that type of stuff anyhow, but then again he didn't feel like driving all the way there. Maybe he would go and visit Sam or Jacob? Probably not, he had seen enough of them during patrol. One thing was for sure, he wouldn't go to work at the deli that day.
Paul decided to go on a walk through the beach. It seemed like a great idea. There was bound to be someone there who would want to hang out with him there. Plus, the beach was one of his favorite place to go. You could swim there and everything, plus there was cliff diving. He loved cliff diving. Paul found it exciting and he loved the thrill of it all. That was a huge possibility for that day.
He walked out of his house, locking the door behind him, and then took a swift jog to the shore. It was soo close to his house. He liked it that way.
After a couple minutes of strolling he ran into someone. "Hey! Watch where you're going!" Paul screamed angrily. He looked down at the person who had fallen. Paul didn't even budge.
